Step, step, step, step. Somebody was running through Takeshi City’s streets at full speed. An eighteen year old lady was late on her first day in COFFEE HAVEN after vacation. The night before Julia went off to bed pretty late and forgot to put on the clock. "Oh my, oh my, I’m sooooo late!" She complained almost in desperation. Running with her heels had started hurting her feet, forcing her to stop for a little break. "Man there’s no time…" Julia took a deep breath and sat down on a bench. She took out one of her shoes and looked at her left foot. It hurt like hell and her tights were broken. Heels were not made for running, just like alarm clocks were made to wake people up at the right time. She looked at her watch and sighed. Putting on her shoe, Julia stood up and continued along the street towards the café.
Closing her hands into fists, the girl looked at the horizon with determination. She would have preferred to take off her shoes and continue running, but she would have probably torn her tights. So, with her feet hurting like there was nothing more painful like that, Julia continued running as fast as she could. Hard-working also meant being punctual and punctuality was something the lady appreciated a lot. "Just a bit more left!" She shouted energetically. Yes, she was going to make it no matter what! Nevertheless, Julia was a rather unlucky girl, which meant that she would probably find an obstacle sooner or later. She ran over a crosswalk without even looking if a car was coming.
Beep, beep! A car was approaching at full speed and it did not seem like it would be able to stop at time. Julia did not hear the beep, but everybody’s shouts made her react and look to the side, right into the direction from where the vehicle was coming. She opened her eyes widely, her mouth half-opened in surprise. She wanted to move no matter what but her feet would simply not respond. She wanted to scream as well but her voice seemed to have lost its tone. "I… am… late…" This were the only words that came across her mind. She was late, she would not arrive at the café and she would be run over by a car.

Finally, with work out of the way the only thing the young woman could look forward to was a tall cup of decaf coffee. At first glance, Noah seemed like the typical teenage guy wearing plaid cargo shorts and a grey shirt. It was normal for her to be mistaken for a male considering the way she normally dressed. Letting out a soft hum, the teenager walked slowly down the street as she came to a halt at the stop; almost instantly she saw another female fly passed her almost like an angel. Noah’s eyes widen at the sounds of the rushing car and instantly went after her like there was no tomorrow. She noticed that the girl had stopped moving and only stared down the ongoing car, Noah reached out and wrapping her in her arms as she fell on her back on the sidewalk. Not really caring about whatever pain she was feeling at the moment, she unwrapped her arms and looked at her with semi calm eyes. This was probably another addition to the many crazy things she has done in her lifetime. Shaking her head, Noah ran her fingers through her hair unsure what to do next.
”Hey are you okay?” She finally said still sitting there, ”You scared the hell out of me jus now.” Surprisingly, Noah sounded pretty calm for someone that was supposedly scared just only moments ago. For some reason she couldn’t put a finger on why this woman looked so damn familiar, probably someone from school. The teen talked to almost everyone and she was deeply bad with names sometimes and it wasn’t like she needed to memorize all of them by heart in the first place; although it was a shame that she passed up quite the beauty. There were quite the few people that were staring in their direction, probably since they were still laying on the sidewalk and in the way for quite a few people. How was it that she went from wanting an relaxing day to jumping into a situation and saving a girl to sitting on the sidewalk practically holding her? Biting down on her lip, a small ting of pain ran up her back, but she didn’t flinch one bit.
Instead she slowly got up as she held the girl up as well, ”You should really be careful next time,” Noah spoke up, ”Prince Charming isn’t always going to be here to rescue you.” A small smirk smeared on her face as she let out a laugh, ”I’m Noah by the way,” stating her name kindly, ”and who is the lovely princess that I happened to save here?” Flirting already? Oh yes, it was only her nature to flirt with someone that was so cute and standing right in front of her too.

Hold on, hold on! This was not her time to die, was it? She was too young and there were way too many things she needed to accomplish before abandoning that cruel world. Julia went out of her trance and saw the car almost there. The sound of approaching steps made her turn her head to the side and see a young around her age boy running towards her with decision. Her eyebrows were raised in surprise as this teenager grabbed her and saved her from the car crush while holding her in his arms as he crashed against the sidewalk. OMG, was that really happening? Julia never imagined somebody would ever rescue her life like that and less if it was a man! "You…" She muttered softly. Her eyes were fixed on his. Still shocked by what had just happened, the girl did not notice the fact that she had placed her right hand on the male’s chest. A crimson color was placed on her pale cheeks as she noticed something soft and bubbly under her hand. "S-Sorry!" She excused herself while retiring her hand from her saver’s breast.
Curiosity, however, ended up beating her and her eyes soon went back to face that girl. Oh God, she looked so much like a boy. Julia would have even said that it was a cute boy, with this innocent and childish shine on his eyes. Moreover, this lady was holding her just like a man would and her words, the meaning they apparently had, remembered Julia to a flirter gentleman. For just a few seconds, the long haired woman had forgotten about everything else and about the fact that she had been successfully saved from a mortal accident. "Thank you, Noah." She then said, taking the girl's hand and standing up. "My name is Julia. I'm sorry to have put your life in danger because of my imprudence." That girl was surely not like those Julia had met until now. Her moves, her eyes, her behaving... there was something manly about them.
She cleaned the dust away of her clothes as she looked at her watch and sighed. "Fifteen minutes, fantastic." She mumbled. Looking back at the girl who had saved her, Julia smiled gently. She had saved her life and she could not just leave like that. Saying “thank you” was not enough. Therefore the waitress decided to invite the girl to a cake and a coffee. "Hey, I was just thinking that, after risking your life for me, I could pay it to you with some cake, what do you think? She would explain to her boss about this accident. Of course she would not tell him that it had actually been her fault, but it still would have some truth in it. "I work in Coffee Haven, please let me treat you to anything you wish. It’s the least I can do." And waiting for the girl to answer, Julia continued wondering what was it what made her so different from other teen-girls.

She felt Julia’s hand on her chest just giggling to herself at the shock that she so visibly expressed. Noah found it really cute honestly since everyone that she met always had a different reaction when they found out that she was a girl. Although there was something different about this girl, she was proper, total opposite than the ones that she had ever seen. When Julia took her hand, Noah was surprised that they were so soft. Staying silent the teen just continued smiling happily at feeling completely content with herself at the moment. Who knew that the day would be so eventful and interesting? Noah sure as hell didn’t. ”Haha, don’t worry about it Julia.” She informed her coolly, ”As long as your safe then I don’t really mind.” Noah could only speak the truth at the moment because if he had to rush into danger just to save someone then it was all worth it in the end.
Although, she was a bit concerned about parting ways with her, sure, she said that “prince charming” wasn’t going to be there all the time to save her, but some part of her couldn’t leave her so defenseless without someone to watch her. Maybe Noah was being to protective about the other girl, but after such an incident who wouldn’t? Letting out a soft sigh, ears perked at the words Coffee Haven. She looked in her direction as she listened carefully to her words. The teen noticed her checking her watching frequently, was she late for something? Probably work at the Haven most likely. ”Oh! Sure why not!” She wasn’t going to lie, she was a sucker for anything that was bought by someone else not that she would admit it. Dusting herself off, the girl swept her bangs as the ends stood a little.
Looking at her own watch, Noah pondered whether or not if she should walk back a few blocks for her bike. Julia was late for work already; it wouldn’t hurt to get her there faster than it would with her running around in those uncomfortable shoes. Looking at the girl, she found herself smirking happily. ”How about I give you a ride, ne?” Honestly her sports bike was much safer than getting hit by cars that was for sure. ”How do you feel about bikes?”
